Note: Depending on the version of the Mac OS you're using, your screen may appear differently than what is shown below.
1. Click the Apple menu, choose Control Panels , and click TCP/IP.

2. From the File menu, choose Configurations to begin creating a TCP/IP configuration for your HomePortal.

3. Select a configuration and click the Duplicate button.

4. In the Duplicate as field, type Gateway and click the OK button.

5. Select the Gateway configuration and click the Make Active button. The Configurations window will close. .

6. Next, you need to customize the Gateway TCP/IP configuration.
From the Connect via pull-down menu select your
computer's Ethernet adapter.
7. From the Configure pull-down menu select
Using DHCP Server.
8. In the Search domains field, type earthlink.net
All other fields can be left blank.

9. From the File menu, choose Quit . Click Save to save changes to the current configuration.
