Troubleshooting Windows 95, 98, and Me
Refreshing TCP/IP settings in Windows 95/98/Me:
- Click the Start button and click Run
. In the Open field, type winipcfg
and click the OK button. The IP Configuration
window will appear.

- In the Ethernet Adapter Information area, click the pull-down menu and select the appropriate Ethernet adapter for your computer.
- Click the Release button and wait 10 seconds. Then click the Renew button. Within 20 seconds you should see an IP address appear in the IP Address field. Click the OK button.
Having refreshed your TCP/IP settings, you can now return to Configuring the HomePortal to Access the Internet.
