Click the Apple menu, choose
Control Panels, and click
TCP/IP.

From the
File menu, choose
Configurations to begin creating a TCP/IP configuration for your HomePortal.

Select a configuration and click the
Duplicate button.

In the Duplicate as field, type Gateway
and click the OK button.

Select the
Gateway configuration and click the
Make Active button. The
Configurations window will close.

Next, you need to customize the Gateway TCP/IP configuration. Click the Connect
via pull-down menu and select your computer's Ethernet
adapter.

Click the Configure pull-down menu and select Using DHCP Server.

In the Search domains field, type earthlink.net
All other fields can be left blank.

File menu, choose
Quit. Click
Save to save changes to the current configuration.
