Adding the NetBEUI (NetBIOS Extended User Interface) protocol to every Windows computer will speed up the transfer of files between computers on your home network.
To add NetBEUI to Windows 2000:
Click the Start button, select Settings , and click on the Control Panel icon to open the Control Panel. Double-click the Network and Dial-up Connections icon.
Right-click on Local Area Connection and select Properties . The Local Area Connection Properties window will appear.

Click the Install button.

Select Protocol , then click Add .

Select NetBEUI Protocol . Click OK .

NetBEUI should now be listed under Components checked are used by this connection . Click Close . If you are asked to restart the computer, click Yes.
