Adding the NetBEUI Protocol

Adding the NetBEUI (NetBIOS Extended User Interface) protocol to every Windows computer will speed up the transfer of files between computers on your home network.

To add NetBEUI to Windows 95, 98, and Me:

1. Click the Start button, select Settings , and click on the Control Panel icon to open the Control Panel.

2. Double-click the Network icon.

3. Click on the Configuration tab, then click the Add button.

4. Click Protocol, then click Add.

5. On the left, select Microsoft . On the right, select NetBEUI . Then click OK . The Select Network Protocol window will close.

6. Click OK.

7. Click OK again. If you are asked to restart the computer, click Yes.
