To refresh TCP/IP settings in Mac OS 8 or 9:

Note: Simply restarting your computer will refresh your TCP/IP settings. If you prefer a quicker (but not as simple) method, follow this procedure.

1. Click on the Apple menu, click Control Panels, and click TCP/IP.

2. Click the Configure pull-down menu, and select Using BootP Server. (The Connect via pull-down menu should display your wireless network adapter.) From the File menu, choose Quit. Click the Save button.

3. Reopen the TCP/IP window. From the Configure pull-down menu, select Using DHCP Server. From the File menu, choose Quit. Click the Save button.
